Yes! In the village of Corolla all golf carts are street legal from sunrise to sunset. They are permitted to cross Route 12 (Ocean Trail) but are not permitted to be driven on Route 12. Some of the communities that we serve include The Currituck Club, Whalehead, Buck Island, Spindrift, Monteray Shores, Pine Island, Ocean Hill, Corolla Bay, Crown Point, and The Villages at Ocean Hill. No. None of our products are allowed to be taken on the beach. Many beach access points have golf cart parking.

We serve the Corolla area only with our many different fun and exciting rental options. Some of the Corolla rental communities that we serve include: The Currituck Club, Whalehead, Buck Island, Spindrift, Monteray Shores, Pine Island, Ocean Hill, Corolla Bay, Crown Point, and The Villages at Ocean Hill.  

We apologize, but based on the rules within Corolla Light, golf carts are not allowed in this community. However, you can rent a LSV from OBX Beach Buggies which is allowed in Corolla Light. Within the Ocean Sands Community, golf carts are only permitted in Section A (Ocean Way and Breakers Arch), Section B (Seashell Lane and Conch Crescent) and Section C (Sandhill Lane and Sandbucket Arch). Golf carts are not permitted in Sections D-O of the Ocean Sands Community. 

Scooters are also prohibited in Ocean Sands with the exception of sections A, B and C. All other communities permit the use of scooters. 

For pre-reserved items, our delivery hours are 8 AM to 8 PM on Saturday and Sunday.  Reservations made for the same day will be added to the end of the following day’s delivery list. 

Rental products need to be ready for pickup by 8 AM on the last day of your rental (Saturday Morning for a Saturday-Saturday rental; Sunday Morning for a Sunday-Sunday rental). Golf carts need to be plugged in overnight so they are charged at time of pick-up. Any golf cart returned not fully charged will be assessed a $75 fee.

If you have an early check-in, please make a note of it as part of your order and we will do our best to accommodate it. Please note that due to the busy delivery schedule, requesting an early delivery does not guarantee that we will be able to accommodate it, as our delivery schedule typically runs until 8 pm.

No, you do not need to be at the property for delivery. We offer free delivery for weekly bicycle and golf cart rentals. Provide your local Corolla house address when making your reservation.

We start deliveries at 8 AM. They may run as late as 8 PM. However, the majority of the time, your product will be waiting for you at your house before your 4 pm check-in time. 

Have no fear if you have never ridden a scooter before! For many of our customers, renting from OBX Beach Toy Rentals is the first time they have ever ridden a scooter. Our instructors will give you a thorough demonstration on your scooter before your rental begins. Scooters are known for being easy to operate and handle, we will make sure you are comfortable with driving your scooter before we send you on your way to explore the Outer Banks. Our staff have trained many customers on how to operate a scooter, so please feel free to ask any and all questions as you get acquainted with your rental!

We are aware that the booking confirmation shows the incorrect pick up date for your rental. This is because the reservation system is on a 24-hour clock, making your rental in theory terminate at 11:59 PM the day prior to your departure; however, we do not pick up the rental until 8 AM the following day.  All weekly rentals, regardless of duration, run Saturday – Saturday or Sunday – Sunday. We deliver and pick up on Saturdays and Sundays only. We apologize for any confusion.

No. The horses are contained in an area that is only accessible by 4 wheel drive vehicles. Currituck County ordinance prevents us from offering the types of vehicles that are legal to operate in the refuge. The best way to see the wild horses is to book a tour! There are a number of wild horse tour companies in Corolla. Their guides can share their knowledge of the area and horses in a safe adventure that is one of a kind! A quick online search of Corolla wild horse tours will provide you with options.

We recommend you plug in your golf cart at the end of each day. Your golf cart will come plugged in at your rental house. Just return it the way you originally found it at the end of each day, so it will be fully charged for you to use the next day!
